I had called a technician from another large company to simply come and reprogram my old Wayne Dalton with a new code. He insisted the unit could not be reprogrammed due to missing pieces and said I needed a new unit for $350. He charged a service call, didn't oil my door or anything, and left.
Not sure if this was a correct evaluation, I contacted D.C. Garage after seeing good reviews and seeing they are local. They communicated by e-mail very quickly, and after a few exchanges at night, we set up a time the next day for a technician to come. I got status calls throughout the afternoon. David greeted me with an introduction and handshake, came in, saw my unit indeed was old but did not have missing pieces, reprogrammed everything including my vehicle, tested it several times, oiled my door to reduce noise, and said to contact him any time day or night should my opener stop working but not to worry with the cost and replacement right now since the door worked well.
David was courteous to me and to my family, very communicative of what he was doing and how he was doing it, and pleasant. The fee was minimal, and I am so grateful that I got a second opinion. David with D.C. Garage really saved me a serious headache and gave me peace of mind. I would recommend him highly."

  • Replaced the garage door on a rental property I own. The work and workmanship seemed to be very good. The guy showed up about 2 hours early. Normally that’s great, but I wasn’t there yet. DC called me to see if I could come early, and I said I could not until the original scheduled time. DC said they would instruct the worker to wait until I arrived. When I arrived, I found the worker had busted through the old door, removed it, and was beginning to install the new door. I was not pleased about that, and told him it was a good thing the garage door did not have an alarm sensor on it, otherwise the police would have arrived. Of course there was nothing else I could do or say at that point, but I did tell DC.

  • Our garage door spring broke in two on Saturday Morning. I called two companies, the first one did not answer and no way to leave a message. The second, DC Garage Door Services, answered right away. Kimber was able to schedule me for later in the day. When they had a cancellation, she called me back and let me know that the repair man could be at my home much earlier. The man showed up as scheduled, replaced the broken spring and we were back up and functioning by mid afternoon on Saturday. Excellent job, way to go!

  • My garage door is 14 years old and the company went out of business. The main rubber seal on my 18’ door was ripped on each side allowing water and potential “things” into my garage. Another company came and said there was no way to replace the seal and said I would need to replace the door for ~$3,000! DC garage door services came out and said no problem they could replace the metal retainer and a new rubber seal. They came out and in less than 30 minutes my door was completely fixed and this company did everything they said they could do. You owe yourself to call them ..They saved me thousands!

  • Great customer service once again! We were having an issue where our garage door would not close. After troubleshooting everything it was determined we needed a new opener. I was given the opportunity to buy an opener that they would then install for us. This saved us the markup on a new opener, and the technician also programmed a couple of new remotes and our keypads for us as well. He was extremely courteous and apologized for not being able to fix the opener problem on his first visit. I will definitely use DC Garage Door Service for any other garage door issues I may have in the future. Their prices were very reasonable as well.

  • Evidently changing the spring on your garage door is one of the most dangerous home repairs a “do-it-yourselfer” can do so I called the professionals in despite my frugal pride telling me otherwise and I’m glad I did. They were on time, scheduling was well communicated, and the job was done well and quick... not being able to use your garage is kind of a big deal when you park in there. We researched spring prices and what they quoted us was right on aside from them saying they use the “higher quality thicker” springs so I kinda felt like we got a good deal but then again it was not cheap at all. The 5 star review came from when I asked him about reprogramming our key pad.... I’ve lost our instructions and had been struggling with online directions... he had it reprogrammed in 2 minutes! No charge and was happy to do it. Bravo

  • This company was amazing from the minute i called til the job was complete. I hit my door pretty hard and thought for sure i would need a new one. They calmed down a very upset me when i first called and managed to squeeze me in that day. I was ready to spend the $$ on a new door and they knew they could have easily made a huge sale however, they assured me they could just replace the damaged panel and have it looking like new. They were right. An hour and a half later and at a fraction of the price my door was back to beautiful and with the extra tuning up they did, working better than ever!!! Love these guys.

  • I had a trolley component break on my old opener and called DC to come out and look at it. Called in the morning and they came out later in the afternoon (as promised and on time) to see what could be done. We had an older model that replacement parts weren’t available so we went with a new Liftmaster at the suggestion of our technician Gerard (who was great!) He was courteous and didn’t try to over sell me on anything which I appreciated. Had the new one installed and the old one taken away and was extremely happy with their service - I would recommend them to anyone who needs a new opener or repairs to their garage doors!

He said the door could be repaired and that he would make it good as new. Well, the next day it was repaired, and in better shape than when I bought the house. The door was "Up And Running" in a little over an hour ! Wow, I can't say enough about Dave ... COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and a GREAT PRICE !!! He even tightened my door springs up for FREE !!! He really cares about quality workmanship, work ethic and customer satisfaction. From now on, DC is my "Go To" garage repair service.   • These guys are awesome. I had them out to my house on a few occasions and they are always prompt, honest, and reliable. David doesn't try to oversell you on stuff you don't need, in fact its the opposite. I had him come out to install a unit I had purchased myself and he suggested my best option was to return the one I bought and stay with the old opener that I had, rather then install this one. I didn't listen to him. He installed it against his better wishes. It turned out to be garbage, just like he said, and he was back out a year later tearing it down and replacing it with a unit that he suggested. He knows his stuff. I should have listened to him. ive recommended him to friends and family and they've all said the same thing. David is a good honest businessman, which is getting to be a rare thing these days. Don't hesitate to call these guys.

  • Would highly recommend! Talked with David on the phone and he was great and easily worked with me on scheduling and day to install a new garage door opener. Rocky installed it and let me just say that this job was a doozy! He had to convert a garage that was never really intended to have an electric garage door opener in it. The space was tight, there was a light in the way, not all the outlets worked where he needed them too, and so he had to be very creative. Great guy too! Super nice and such a hard worker! And considering how complicated the job was, their price was more than fair!

(you know...the service where they basically just grease all the rollers for $90). Will definately use again if need be.
